Bushkill Falls was opened to the public in 1904 by Charles Peters. Peters’ father Henry moved his family to the area in 1819. The Peters were a family of successful entrepreneurs, with Henry owning a tavern and store and son Charles owning the falls area. The Peters family still owns the area to this day.
