If you want to travel to a ski park that is known for its unique terrain, you cannot go wrong with Big Boulder Ski area. Located in Blakeslee, Pennsylvania in the Pocono Mountains, this place is known as the Skiers Mountain, as the locals like to call it.

Some have said that Big Boulder Mountain is more of a snow boarders mountain than a skiers mountain. Big Boulder is both with trails tailored to you skiing and snowboarding desires. Get your challenge on with the powdered down hills like Hell Track.
Big Boulder Park has an elevation of 2,275 feet and a total vertical drop of 575 feet. With 15 trails, the longest one being 6,400 feet long, you’re sure to find that perfect slide for your skill and adrenaline need. Seven lifts, five with double chairs and two with triples, will get you up. Then it’s up to you to find your way down.
If you are planning on a snowy trip with the kids bring your family out for a fun day (or more) of snow tubing. Enjoy the conveyor carpet up and the thrill ride down. Big Boulder has 20 snow tubing chutes and 2 tows.
The park is open from December to March for skiing and snowboarding, and they have the ability to make snow cover for 100 percent of the mountain. But all year long you’ll find plenty to do in the park, from concerts to May Day celebrations throughout the month of May.
